Ali Hamilton

Coach

My tennis journey began through my family, with both my father and brother playing the sport. At first, I never imagined tennis would become such an important part of my life, however, after years of watching my brother compete and with encouragement from Ian to give tennis a try, I decided to step onto the court myself. My journey with tennis officially began at 15 years old when I joined Ian Cowan Tennis. From there, I became involved in senior fixtures leagues, competed in tournaments and discovered my love for the competitiveness, challenges and team environment. My passion for the sport continued to grow and eventually led me to receive a scholarship to attend the University of Tennessee Southern, where I am now a member of the Women’s Firehawk Tennis Team. Competing at the collegiate level has been an incredible experience that allows me to continue developing as a player while being surrounded by teammates and coaches who share the same passion for the game.

I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to be part of the coaching staff at Ian Cowan Tennis, where I work alongside Ian and Ethan during my summer breaks back home. One of the most rewarding parts of coaching is being able to share my love for tennis to players of all ages. Watching players improve, gain confidence and enjoy the sport is something I truly value. Being able to work alongside people who share my passion for tennis makes this experience great. Ian leads by example, always creating opportunities to learn, grow and improve while making every session enjoyable. Ian Cowan Tennis has been such a rewarding experience because it doesn’t feel like work – it allows me to share my passion for tennis, connect with others, continue growing and be part of a community that makes coming to work something I look forward to.
